Five Little Duckie Quilt

This is Valery's adorable Five Little Duckie quilt and since the beaks are a 3D embellishments I did light custom quilting instead of a pantograph.  I quilted this same quilt for her in 2010 and you can find the free block pattern here ( thanks for the link Lori!) . I used Quilters Dream Blend batting, light green So Fine thread and the backing is a yellow Minkie.

I quilted large l's and e's in the outer border, swirls in the sashing, stitched in the ditch around all the ducks and added a wing on each.

  1. This is such a cute quilt, and I love the way the swirls look on the Minkie back! Perfect. :D

  3. This is just super cute! The quilt is called "Five Little Duckies" and was the 2002 Project Linus quilt from Quiltmaker Magazines. The pattern is still available for free here. http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/details.html?idx=91
