Koi Quilt

Joanne made this striking quilt using a Koi print fabric as the focus. The pattern looks like it is from the BQ series. I knew right away it needed the Ripples pantograph to add a water texture.

I used a blue So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

The backing was as solid navy which shows off the quilting nicely. I used the blue Magna Glide prewound bobbin for the back.

Concealed Stars Quilt

 

Lori made this lovely 'Concealed Stars' quilt for a gift.  The pattern is by Castilleja Cotton but you can find the pattern and fabric kit for this quilt at the link here.  Lori made hers King size at 98" x 108" but the kits on Connecting Threads is only for a 50" x 70" quilt. The fabric line is called Nuances De Noir and is exclusively at Connecting Threads.

I used the Flourish Pantograph, light grey So Fine thread and Lori brought a King sized Warm and Natural batting. 

 Backing is a wide grey Faded Chambray from Connecting Threads.

Sprinkles on Top Quilt #2

Nancy made this lovely modern "Sprinkles on Top" quilt.  Pattern is in the book by Vanessa Goertzen called Jelly Filled.  Nancy used Sprout Wovens from Fableism for the plus shapes and Art Gallery low volume fabrics for the background.

I quilted it with the Ombre pantograph, used a light grey So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Backing is a soft grey Fireside.

I have to say this quilt looks really good on my bed. That always gets me thinking I should make one for myself, that's the danger of this job!  LOL!
