This is Marlene’s quilt and the pattern is Snowmen from A to Zzzz by Crabapple Hill Designs. Marlene does beautiful embroidery and after seeing her work it has me seriously thinking about finding a pattern so I can work on one myself. Before I started quilting I was addicted to cross stitch and I now find myself really drawn to the Crabapple Hill hand embroidery patterns. Maybe one day I’ll find time!
Marlene asked for light quilting on this quilt as well as it will also be a cuddle quilt. She suggested my free hand 3’s and E’s for the center and then I decided on cross hatching in the outer border as the fabric has a pretty holly print and I didn’t want the quilting design to compete with it.
The backing is a cute snowman flannel print!
