Professional Tote Bag

tote1

I have been working on a few of my own projects this past week as I am waiting on the rest of my November quilts to arrive so took advantage of this quiet time.    I made my Professional Tote Bag, which is a Creative Thimble pattern, and found the instructions excellent.  It was a lot of work but had no problems and very happy with how it turned out.   I used all batik fabrics and fun rainbow coloured zippers.  Lots of pockets on the inside and outside of the bag.   I only changed one thing and that was the side pockets, they called for a cord and cord locks but I just used elastic for a neater look.

As you can see winter is here and our bay froze over this morning.  Its been cold and cloudy for most of the week so looking forward to some sunshine soon. I do have a quilt on my machine to so hope to have that finished up tomorrow so I can share pictures of it in the snow!    I’m also dyeing some quilt backs today to go on a few quilts I’ve been working so hope to share those with you soon!

  1. What a beautiful bag. Looks as if you're getting a bit of winter. Sadly, it's coming our way tomorrow. Ah well, it is November.

  2. I can't believe you have snow already! At least it is pretty where you live. Of course it is lovely for me to see and enjoy when I am warm!

  4. Love your bag! I've made the mini and am anxious to make the original size. The hardest part is picking the fabric colors...I want one in every colorway.
