This is Sheri’s Bali Sea Star quilt and you can find this pattern in Kim Brackett’s book Scrap-Basket Surprises. Sheri made this quilt just using her scrap batiks and a light background fabric, turned out beautiful! She asked for Mimosa for the panto design and Quilters Dream Blend batting. The thread is a light cream Lava which as a very light variegation to it like her background fabric.
We has some excitement in Flin Flon yesterday, a forest fire broke out right along the perimeter highway. We are about 15km from town so we were not in any danger from this fire but with it is so dry here right now forest fires are a big concern. Two water bombers and a helicopter were flying around so I know something was up. Along with ground crews they got the fire out so I just wanted to thank all the fire fighters for keeping us safe up north!! Here are some pictures from our local paper.
