I have been finding time to make a few smaller projects and whipped up a few more Microwave Bowls as they make great gifts. If you are new to my blog I do have a tutorial on my sidebar on how to make the bowls, or click this link to take you right to the post. When I found this fabric at the Born to Quilt shop in Kenora, ON and knew right away it would make great microwave bowls as the panel designs where in different sizes. Sorry but I can’t remember the name of the fabric line. I quilted them quite heavily by outlined all the designs as they do tend to lose there shape with multiple washings.
I also made a few Retreat Bags (without the frame) which is a free pattern from Emmeline Bags. And then made matching Fabric Baskets which is a free PDF pattern by Highway 10 Designs that you can also find on my side bar.
I used a super sweet fabric line called “Sew Sew” by Benartex which I picked up at Road 17N in Winkler, MB.
The microwave bowl fabric is the perfect one. I have made many, but this is the best ever.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics for these lovely projects. I'm going to have to try the microwavable bowls, these will make great gifts.
