Pedal to the Metal Graduation Quilt

pedal3

I finally finished my son Daniels Graduation quilt, better late than never they say!   He didn’t seem to mind the delay because of the move and also ended up getting a new bed, headboard and foot board for his new room.  His only request for the quilt was that it be blue!  I added a dark brown batik and a light grey blue batik to compliment with the blue.    So I used our Highway 10 Design pattern, Pedal to the Metal and got to work making his quilt at our retreat a few weeks ago.

I used a grey wide Grunge for the backing, Mimosa for the panto and Quilters Dream Blend batting.  I used light blue So Fine on the top and grey Bottom Line on the back.

Well it looks like the snow is here to stay and you know I don’t mind snow…except for the fact I don’t have my winter tires on my car yet!  We are really missing our garage!

  1. Snow, a dedicated room for all your quilting, and no garage? Hugh would say that was the first MOST necessary item. Love the quilt, the new bed, and perfect for a young man. I hope this travels with him throughout his life.

  2. Very, very nice, Kathy! You're making your house a home! I think that our snow is here to stay, too. Have a great weekend.
