It's A Snap and Hay It's Christmas Quilts

Lori made this sweet It's A Snap quilt using a pattern by Fabric Cafe.  Fabrics collection is Honey Bee by Riley Blake.

I quilted it with the Dazzle pantograph, used white So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Lori also brought two panel quilts.  One is Howdy Christmas by Northcott which is a cute cowboy themed Christmas tree panel.

I used the Advent pantograph as the tree and star design matched the image so well. I used green So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

The last quilt was made with the "Hay... It's Christmas" panel by Northcott.  I quilted it with the Bora Bora pantograph, used grey So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Backing was also from the same fabric collection.

Patchwork Quilt and Waxed Canvas Bags

Barb pieced this lovely modern grey/beige tone quilt using a simple square patches that finished 9".  She made this a queen sized finishing at 90" x 108"

I quilted it with the Taro pantograph as it really played well with the prints in the fabrics. I used a light grey So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

I have been having fun making bags lately and they have been selling as fast as I can make them which is great!  I love making them and definitely can't keep them all but I have kept a few.

I starting using a new bag pattern called the Compass Bag by Noodlehead.  I am making the small size and adding a long adjustable crossbody leather strap.  I bought a side of leather so that has been a game changer for me and making any size leather strap I need for a project.  I also purchased a leather strip cutter from Lee Valley that works great.

Now here are the bags I have been making.  They all have waxed canvas on the exterior and a quilting cotton for the lining.  I has been fun shopping for fabrics for the lining as they are ones I wouldn't normally buy for quilts.

These first two have sold and this next one is mine!  Just started using it and love it!

I just finished making a second red one as the first one sold.

I am planning on doing a craft table in May to promote my longarm business locally, try sell a few bags and my wood signs. I made a few more Ruby Totes as well. These are the four I have left from the seven I made this winter.

Oh My Stars Quilt

Coleen pieced this scrappy 'Oh My Stars' quilt which is a pattern by Pat Sloan.  She made a few adaptations to the pattern and used leftover Kansas Troubles fabric from another project.

I quilted it with the Poplar pantograph, used tan So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Looks like we are in for more snow the next couple of days.  Usually the snow is gone by now.
Spring is nowhere to be found here!

Sparrows Quilt

Gail pieced this sweet Sparrows quilt, the pattern is by Pen & Paper Patterns.  She used a dark teal background and the birds are made with solid blue, green and yellow, and two prints that ties is all together.

We though feathers would look lovely on this quilt so I used the Bountiful Feathers pantograph by Lorien Quilting.  I used a dark teal So Fine thread on top, a Magna Glide brown bobbin and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Gail brought the perfect backing called Winter Visitors by Robert Kaufmann.

Love how the quilt looks like it is floating in this next picture but you can see Tim's shadow.

Its starting to warm up here but still a lot of snow left on the ground. It makes it challenging to walk on as it is still knee deep in many places.
