Dahlia Border

I was able to put the border on my Dahlia this weekend now I just have to decide if it is done or if should I added more borders. It is 60" square so too small for a bed and too big for a wall hanging.  I don't know what I'm going to use it for yet so it might sit as a flimsy for awhile.

I also finished Part 3 of the Just Takes Two project. They went easy on us this month with only two blocks to do.

Spooky - those are almost identical colors to what I have laid out on my cutting table for my versions!

Your dahlia is looking good. Perhaps you could add another pieced border using the petal shapes or just a plain border and quilt the petal shapes. I'm sure whatever you do, it will be lovely.

The colors of the Dahlia remind me of water...warm oceans...very calm colors. I have such a hard time with quilts in the "between" stage...good luck figuring it out.

What a beautiful Dahlia Quilt and I like your final choice of colors for the center. More petals for the top and bottom borders??? if you wish to extend the length. G

It could be just a touch an sigh flimsy for awhile, it is so beautiful. I have a stair railing where "waiting for inspiration" quilts hang. At least you can still enjoy while waiting for that aha moment.
