This is Donna’s Magic Tile quilt and it is similar to one I did a few weeks ago but she used a black Grunge border. I used the Bayside panto, a bright primary coloured Lava variegated thread, which really shows up nicely on the black border, and Quilters Dream Blend batting.
I took these pictures last week, the ice is now gone from the shoreline but still plenty on the lake.
Last Wednesday I left for my weekend trip to teach Free Motion Quilting as well as do a Trunk Show for the Crocus Quilters Guild in Dauphin, MB. I spent a few days with Lori, my Highway 10 Designs partner, and we were able to work on a few projects. One thing on our To-Do list when we were together was to get a few new head shots as we only see each other twice a year. Here are the two best ones for that morning photo shoot. We have fun changing the background quilt and trying different poses.
Beautiful shots of the two of you! I love how the colour of your clothing blends in with the background quilt in the top pic.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! And nice photo of you and Lori and your quilts. I need to make my Lugnuts quilt still!!
ReplyDeleteNice photos of you two! I love seeing your quilt photos, plus what the weather is looking like in your area.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite photo of the two of you is the first----so coordinated. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThose photo settings, truly magical for me down here. And the other one, a super background for you both. Lovely inner border on the magic tiles quilt, and black outer is a great finish.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the two of you - especially the first one with the stack of quilts.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos... especially of the two of you with my all-time favourite quilt!! Love that City Slicker!!!
