Four Patch Charm In Dot Dot Dot

Gay made my Four Patch Charm Quilt using Charm Packs from Artisan Batiks collection called Dot Dot Dot. It is a lovely blend of light blues and beige.  With the collection being so light the navy background allows the fabrics to shine!

I quilted it with a pantograph called Ripples and used a medium blue So Fine thread.  The batting is Quilters Dream Blend.

The pattern for this quilt can be found on my sidebar as a free download.

Red

Shelly made this sweet XOXO quilt which is a pattern in the book 'Simply Color Red" by V & Co.  She used up a lot of her red scraps making this quilt and I love how they all look together!

Shelly loves modern quilts and quilting so we decided on just vertical straight lines on this one. I used white So Fine thread and the batting is Warm and Natural.   The background fabric is a metallic polka dot!

Shelly also brought me quilt made by one of her friends which is an adorable Mickey and Minnie Mouse panel.  I used Fascination for the pantograph and white So Fine thread.

Fresh

Peggy made this beautiful quilt called 'Fresh' from Camille Roskelley's book 'Simply Retro".  She used the Marmalade fabric collection by Bonnie & Camille for Moda.  These blocks are 24" so I used a large scale panto called Wave on Wave.  I have two different sizes for this pantograph and used the larger one for this quilt. When I first started my longarm business I didn't realize you could buy pantographs in different sizes so that was a very valuable lesson.

I used white So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

August Stars Quilt

Diane pieced this stunning quilt using Jaybird Designs pattern called August Stars.  The fabrics are all batiks and they just sparkle with the back background.  I quilted it with the Happy Times pantograph using purple So Fine thread.  The batting is Quilters Dream Blend.

Animal Parade

This is Linda's sweet Animal Parade baby quilt.  She used applique designs in two pattern books to create her quilt, Animal Parade and Animal Parade 2 by Cheri Leffler.  She based the background and owls on a pattern in Animal Parade called 'Whoo Dat and then added the other animals creating her own final design.

I quilted double leaves in the outer border, stippled the background and SID around the animals.  I quilted CC and feathers in the top and bottom pieced stars.

Linda used cotton and wool to do the appliqued animal. She embroidered the bees and ladybugs too!

The batting is Quilters Dream Wool, so lovely to quilt with!

I used teal and yellow So Fine for the majority of the quilt and then as I quilted details on the animals I matched thread colours.

Migration Giraffes

This is Vicki's Giraffe Quilt and the pattern she used is called Border Rules.  The sweet giraffe fabric she used is by Michael Miller and called Migration Giraffe Double Border.  Since it has a modern feel I used the Spiral Square pantograph to give it a fun texture.

She brought the perfect green Grunge backing to match which shows off the quilting.  Batting is Quilters Dream Blend, and the thread is a grey So Fine on top and a beige Bottom Line on the back.

The past couple of day have been above freezing temperatures so it is wonderful to see the snow start to melt and listening to the water run down the downspouts on the house again.

Glacier Star Quilt

This is Joy's Glacier Star quilt and it is a paper pieced pattern by Quiltworx. She ask it to be custom quilted and I used a variety of designs on this quilt.  The outer border is flowing feathers from the corners. I SID around the flying geese.  Add more flowing feathers in the dark background and SID in the spikes on the outer edge of the star.  The compass blocks were SID then I added a few echo straight lines and a curved line at the points of the spikes.  A feather motif finishes the remaining background in the block and curls were added in the dark spikes.

The center is a combination of pebbles and SID as I like to design using the seam lines as much as possible.  I CC'd the diamonds in the star points.

I used 7 different colours of So Fine thread on the top and 1 colour of Bottom Line on the backing.

I used Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Finally a calm day to catch up on my quilt photos. You can see by the snow drifts in the yard it as been windy here!
