I managed to find time to squeeze in a guild comfort quilt this week and this one is called 4-Patch Stacked Posies by H.D.Designs. It is a simpler version of the Stack and Whack technique. We found a fabulous large print black and white fabric to us and added a red inner border to allow the bit of red in the fabric to pop! Turned out great and I love how each of the block are so different. I quilted it with the Popcorn pantograph, used black So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.
That is simple and SSOOO stunning. !!!The inner red is a wonderful addition, and as always, the photo shoot settings add a finishing touch. No snow, but perfect all the same.
That pattern is more fun to put together than any other! I love to play with each block to get the prettiest outcome. Yours certainly turned out beautiful! Love your fabrics too! ---"Love"
I have some four patch posies blocks in the UFO pile. They were a lot of fun to make, and I had big plans for a grand setting, but just haven't gotten around to putting the top together.
I have been quilting for 30 years and have turned my passion for quilting into a home business. Tamarack Shack Longarm Quilting opened it's doors January 2009 on the shores of Schist Lake in Northern Manitoba. I have recently moved to Emo, ON and looking forward to discovering all the beauty of the area and meeting new quilters.
This blog is where I share photos of my quilts as well as my clients quilts. I design quilting patterns with my friend Lori Suss and we call our pattern company Highway 10 Designs. I also enjoy nature photography and try to combine my two passions of quilting and photography in my blog posts.
