Wonderful Woodland #2

Amanda pieced this adorable Wonderful Woodland quilt, a pattern by Art East Quilting Co.  She bought this as a kit from a wonderful shop called Keystone Modern Creative in Winnipeg. Here is a link to the kit.

I quilted it with the Ombre pantograph to give it a grassy texture.  Used beige So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

Amanda sent along a lovely grey Minky that she also purchased from Keystone quilts.

It was a rare calm day by the river and the weather is warming up!

Had this little guy visit last night, he was digging up grubs in the field beside our house.  Now I know how all the little holes were created in my back yard!  Wonder why you don't see many skunks on these critter quilts, they are pretty cute!

  1. This is a great quilt, fun, and representative of what we see in our area. I have never used minky. Are there any special notes to remember when using it/
