Remember my pictures of the mud piles on the ice that I thought were muskrat holes, well the muskrat made an appearance last night and stayed around long enough for me to get my camera and put my telephoto lens on. This was the last picture I took of him before he took one step forward and was gone down the hole, I think he was giving me the evil eye too!
This is the original picture zoomed in as far as I could on my camera while standing at the end of the dock. The picture at the top is cropped in so you can actually see him.
I made a second Grandma’s Star block…no plan yet just making blocks! :)
he looks so big in that top picture where you zoomed in. I have seen one now and then but not very often! I think we were in Wyoming the last time I saw one.
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one big muskrat. He/She could almost rival the beaver in weight!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Grandma's blocks. Love the colours you are creating for these blocks. How do you enjoy sewing Y seams? Are the templates easy to use?
We're all lined up for Dr Who tonight.... comfy chairs, soft blankies... bring on Dr Who.
WOW...great photo of the muskrat. Love the grandma's star block. It looks difficult to piece.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, Kathy! That muskrat is definitely giving someone the stink eye! LOL! Snow is almost gone here too, although the huge drift that was about 7' or 8' high is now about 4'. Had the bedroom window open all night and awoke to robins churping up a storm. Spring is here!
