This is Sarah-Lynn's Jelly Roll Race III quilt and the pattern is by Missouri Star Quilt Company. It is a great variation on the traditional Jelly Roll Race, the flying geese are a great addition. But I think what really makes this quilt stand out is the fabric collection she chose, it is called Bora by Moda.
Sarah-Lynn wanted to keep the quilting simply and modern so we chose Dazzle for the pantograph design. I used medium blue So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.
She brought a great blue flannel backing that matched very well with the fabric collection.
Finally a calm day so was able to get a few photos by the river with my helpers!
The two borders are a lovely frame, and what a gorgeous setting for the photos. Calm, blue water and a wooden jetty. perfect all the way.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt, beautiful photos.

ReplyDeleteI love Jelly Roll Race quilts. They are quick and easy to sew; it makes for a relaxing break between other projects. Love the extra touch with the flying geese and a quilt is always quilted beautifully in the hands of Kathy Schwartz.
