Nancy made this modern version of our Highway 10 Designs Quarter Sections quilt using shades of grey and a pop of teal! Love how this turned out. She is going to keep this one for herself to put on a guest bed.
I quilted it with the Bayside pantograph to add some curves, thread is grey So Fine and batting is Quilters Dream Blend.
I did a wonky crosses quilt using the gray/teal colorway. So pretty together.
ReplyDeleteI had already read this blog a few days ago. This quilt is so subtly dynamic that when I saw a post today, I came back to this post first. Follow the link to the pattern and ‘gosh’ (as my Grandma Knowles would have said) I learned that you had teamed up with another quilter. And that this pattern is one of your babies. I can see why both new and more experienced quilters would be drawn to this pattern. I bookmarked the pattern as it will be a great choice to use the fabrics that I have chosen for an adult grandson. His birthday is early March and so I will head back this way as I am close to finishing his quilt to pick up the pattern. BTW, this blog is definitely one of my very, very favorites. It always makes my day when I see a new post from Tamarack Shack pop up. I used to love seeing the quilts you shared with us spread out on a great expanse of ice.
