I finished quilting on of my North Star quilts. I used Bora Bora for the panto, light grey So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.
And this happened last week!
I recently had a special birthday, the Big 5-0! I was able to spend a few days visiting some family and a few close friends in Winnipeg over the long weekend. I had high school friends cover my moms lawn with decorations so they would be there when I arrived. There were 50 candles on the lawn!
I received a lovely surprise from my friend Lori, she gave me a Featherweight for my birthday! She has quite a few of her own and uses one of hers all the time when we go to retreats. I love how quiet they are and think I'll have lot of fun with my 'new' machine! Thanks for the wonderful gift Lori, I felt very spoiled!
Oh, here is the last photo I got of Comet NEOWISE before it faded from view. This was taking right in Emo at the River front dock.
Happy Birthday! Wow a featherweight - nice gift! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteHappy 50th, Kathy! Is your new machine older than you are?!? Have a great year.
ReplyDeleteHeaps of many best wishes, just 30 years to catch up to me, I celebrated the BIG 80th on July 25th, love your lawn decorations and a fab cake, and then the machine. Featherweight, perfect to take wherever you go.Happy Birthday.

ReplyDeleteHappy 50th! I like the candles on the lawn - my family stuck 50 candles on the cake - not much cake space left and oh so much wax on the icing! LOL! Set off the smoke alarm too! What a lovely friend - a birthday Featherweight! How super!
