I finished my 5 Minute Block quilt yesterday and had fun with some free hand stippling and feathers. I even hand stitched the binding on last night while watching an episode of season six of the latest Dr.Who.
I wanted to avoid SID on this one and it seemed to work out fine as the pinwheels still popped without it.
Used Quilters Dream Blend batting and So Fine yellow thread.
Absolutely beautiful, both the quilting and the colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kathy, I was looking at a 5 minute block quilt yesterday and thinking about making one, now I will. You did a beautiful job of quilting it.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! The colours are so warm....you did a beautiful job on the quilting. Are you keeping this one Kathy, or is it a gift? Lucky someone if it goes to another home. C
ReplyDeletePurdy, purdy! Love what you did with the windmill. Very cool!

ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! And thanks for sharing the link to the block.
ReplyDeleteNever a fan of OBW but I thnk you've changed my mind. I really like the pinwheel treatment. In my opinion, you've taken a hokum quilt pattern and set it on fire.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Kathy you really picked perfect fabric and quilting for this quilt! I LOVE iT! Great job! Just beautiful!
