This is Bev’s Misty Pines quilt and the pattern was in the Jan/Feb 2013 issues of McCalls Quilting magazine. This is the second one I have quilted, you can see the first one here. I quilted it with the Curlz panto, used grey So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.
We had a beautiful frosty morning yesterday which made a wonderful backdrop for this quilt.
Beautiful quilting, as always. Curious as to whether or not you place something underneath the quilts when you lay them out in the snow or on your deck or the other places you have taken photos. Also, do you use a computerized long-arm or just do it all manually? I've been clicking on some of the blogs you mention and trying to understand it all. I rent a long-arm when I want to quilt my tops, but have always wanted to have a 'professional' do a quilt for me one day. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNo I do not lay anything underneath the quilts, the snow is very dry and clean! I use to just sweep my deck/dock before laying the quilts down.
DeleteMy longarm is hand guided, no computer.
love this- haven't seen another one since mine a couple years ago. nicely done
