This is Melba’s quilt and I have seen this quilt design many times but have no idea what it is called. It is a simple be very effective design that makes a great scrap quilt. I always see a wonky star when I look at this quilt design.
Melba brought some Hobbs Poly Down batting which I had never tried before and it has a thick loft which really worked well on her quilt. She picked the Bayside panto and that gave such nice texture to the quilt.
what an awesome quilt....
ReplyDeletelovely quilting job :)
I love this pantograph. It was perfect on this quilt. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteuhhhh...that is breath taking!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that batting really gave great definition to your quilting! I love the texture. Just want to reach out and put my hand on that quilt. Super job, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteNice job Kathy, the patterns I have seen in books are called either wonky stars, or floating stars. The guild has the patterns.See you at the retreat.
